Nassau County Children's Photography / Goodbye Summer
It is Labor Day weekend and that means it is the unofficial end of summer. We had a great summer here in Long Beach; one filled with lots of carefree and lazy beach days. I love the warm weather and spending time with friends and family, so I am sad to say goodbye to summer. On the other hand, the 60 degree weather here this morning has me feeling excited for the Fall season and all of the family traditions that come with the Fall. I am also looking forward to getting into a routine with my girls again. My eldest starts Pre-K Wednesday and I am looking forward to having some one on one time with my youngest. Because I am a teacher, I usually spend this weekend lesson planning and preparing for the upcoming school year. The start of a new school year is always exciting for a teacher and signifies the start of a new adventure and a year filled with endless possibilities. Even after teaching for 15 plus years, I would always have a nervous pit in my stomach the weekend before school started. Full disclosure, a big part of me is very sad that I will not be returning to my teaching position until next September, but I am happy to be able to be home with my girls this year and to be able to continue to work as a photographer. I am going to treasure every second I get to be home with them this year. It is not always easy, but it is worth it. I will end this post with one final image from a recent beach session. Goodbye Summer and welcome Fall!
