First Communion Portraits | Long Island Children's Photography

We are currently in the midst of Communion season, which means that many of you moms are planning a special party for your son or daughter.    As a parent, I know how stressful it can be to host and prepare for a party, especially on the day of the event. I have been there many times. You ambitiously wake up at 6 am to finish the list of a million things you have to get done for the party.  You work frantically to get it all done before your children wake up because you want to get ready in peace and make an effort to look presentable.     You have to dress your children, and if you are like me, your husband will likely need your assistance too.   In the midst of all of these preparations, one of your children is likely to have a tantrum, the other child will lose a Shopkin that you must find at that second, you will need to play referee to your children, and you will trip over your dog, who is pacing at your feet because he needs a walk.  As a result of the morning chaos, you now have no time left for photos, so you quickly snap a few iPhone photos in which one of your children is crying, you appear tense, and no one appears happy and at ease.

While I can't help you to avoid the morning stress, I can help you to get photos of your momentous occasion.  The easiest and stress free way to get photos, is to schedule your session before the event.  Checking this task off of your to do list before the party, will not only eliminate stress, but free up your time to enjoy the party.  So, let me handle the photos and on the day of the party, you can enjoy a nice glass of wine and breathe a sigh of relief.

Here are a few images from a recent Communion Mini Session.  This sweet little girl is such a beauty and is just the sweetest little girl I have ever met.  I had so much fun photographing her and I just love her gallery of images.
