Natural and Relaxed Family Newborn Sessions in the Studio
I have been busy in March and April photographing expanding families and their newborns. It has been great getting to know each family and I am always honored to capture these moments for them. I am so very happy that most of my clients are opting for family newborn sessions. I feel it is so important that in addition to portraits of your baby, you capture those sweet moments that encapsulate the first few days home with him.
I recently had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family of five in my Long Beach studio space. They recently welcomed baby number three to the family. Baby L is the absolute sweetest baby with a wonderful disposition. He slept throughout the entire session and I only heard him cry once, which was at the very end. Even though I usually don't include photos of crying babies in a client's gallery, I just had to include one image that I took of him crying that displays the sweetest little gummy expression. It is one of those details about a baby that when they are older, you forget about.
Baby L is one lucky boy because he has two beautiful older sisters, who are absolutely smitten with him already; in fact, there was much deliberation between the girls as to who was going to get to hold him first for the pictures; of course, they both got a turn to hold baby brother. The girls were so good and we were able to get the sweetest images of the siblings together.
After we were done with the family photos, we moved on to the portraits of Baby L. Because mom and dad like rustic colors, I decided to use my handmade pallet wood backdrop. I absolutely love the tones of this backdrop. I had a great afternoon with his family and I can't wait to send them their complete gallery of images. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.
