December Babies | Massapequa Family Newborn Photographer

I recently photographed a beautiful baby boy in my Long Beach studio for his newborn photos. This little man happens to share the same birth date as my eldest daughter. Now, I know some people fear that the holidays can overshadow December birthdays, but as a parent of a child born in this special month, I actually think it just enhances the festive spirit of the birthday celebrations. When mom booked the session, I knew I had to incorporate something to commemorate Christmas. I found an adorable handmade knit Santa suit to use and I just love the sweet images I captured of him seeping in the suit.

This particular session happened to be my last of 2018. I can’t think of a better way to end my year of sessions then with this beautiful baby boy and his sweet parents. As always, we started the session with some family photos and then moved on to each individual parent with baby. Although these sessions are designed to be life inspired, I always make sure to include at least one set up of baby naturally and comfortably posed so that I can create timeless polished images for parents. I think it is important to have a combination of both of these types of images and I am so happy that my studio allows me to capture a wide array of image for my clients.

I will be making some additions and changes to my studio in 2019, including some additional handmade wood backdrops. I can’t wait to use them in my upcoming newborn sessions. I have also added a few items to my prop collection that I feel will help me to capture polished images of baby that are also natural and timeless. Lastly, I will be changing the bed setup that I use for the family portion of my sessions. I have ordered a stunning white crocheted quilt to use and will be making a different headboard as well.
