The Thrill of the moment

There truly is no moment in life that is as happy and thrilling as the moment you first get engaged. This moment is equal parts thrilling and overwhelming. I am here to alleviate the stress from the planning prices so that you can focus on the excitement of embarking on life’s journey with your significant other.

The Element of Surprise

My goal is to capture this special moment in a natural and organic way while maintaining the Lent of surprise. want to capture this special moment for you in a way that is true to who you are as a couple. My approach to surprise proposals is to keep the plan simple, natural, and true to your relationship. Although they are beautiful, things like rose petals, candles, and other props are dead giveaways of what is to come next. I want your significant other to be truly shocked when you asked the big question so that I can capture all of that beautiful pure, and raw emotion for both of you. To help you accomplish this, I work with you to choose a location that is not only aesthetically beautiful, but natural to you as a couple. Your love and emotion are the only “prop” we need to capture timeless and gorgeous photos.

Authentic and Raw Images

The key to capturing emotive engagement photos is being comfortable with your photographer. We chat throughout the planning process, so I will feel like an old friend by the time your big day arrives. So, don’t be surprised if you see my shed a tear or two. I am always so happy for my clients and honored to be able to document this special memory for each and every one. e

The process

Step 01

Once you book your spot, I will send you a questionnaire that helps me to get to know you and your significant other. Based on those responses, I can help you to choose a location or provide input on locations you already have in mind.

Step 02

About 7-14 days before you ask the big question, we will meet at the location to go over all of the important details to ensure that your day is a success. We will choose the best and most scenic spot to ask the question, how you should position yourselves, and we will come up with some contingency plans in the event of inclement weather or any other detail that can throw a wrench in your plan. By the end of the meeting, we will have a full-proof plan and you will feel comfortable and confident on the day of your proposal. All you have to do on that day is enjoy every single second of that special moment.

Step 03

On the day of the proposal, I arrive early to handle any unforeseen situations that could occur. I choose an inconspicuous location and photograph the whole entire moment as it unfolds.

Step 04

After the big moment, I will spend some time with you to capture beautiful and artistic engagement photos. There is no better time than those first few moments after you get engaged when you are “drunk in love” to have these photos taken. I am going to capture all of that gorgeous love, emotion, and connection between you so that you have images that you will cherish for the rest of your life.

Step 05

After the proposal, I will upload a few images to social media for you to announce the happy news. I know how excited you are about sharing the big news and I want you to be able to use your professional images rather than cell phone captures to announce it to family and friends. You will then get your full gallery of images through a private viewing gallery.

Planning Services &Pre Session COnsultations

I am here to help you choose a location and concoct a plan that is fool proof. If you already have something in mind, I can help you flush out the details to ensure that your day is a success. We are in touch throughout the planning process. I am available whenever you need a sounding board. We also meet ahead of time at the location to finalize and perfect your plan.

Artistic Editing

I hand edit each and every image in your gallery. These galleries are on the larger side because they include both the proposal and engagement portraits. I color correct, enhance light, smooth skin and include other artistic enhancements.

Session Time

I arrive early to make sure everything will go as planned. If there is a problem, I handle it before you arrive and you will never even know about it. The sessions item lasts about 45-60 minutes.

Delivery of Digital Images

Your images are delivered in a private proofing gallery via high resolution download. I deliver images within two weeks, but more often within a week. Preview are posted within 24 hours of your session time.

and I am a secret proposal photographer.

I photographed my first proposal in 2018 and since then have photographed dozens of gorgeous couples as they embark on their life journey together.  

I am not a box or corporate company and I treat each and every client like family. I care as much about your special day as you do and I will make sure that I capture your special day and all of the beautiful emotions fully for you.

  • The pre-meeting consult is an important step in the planning process. Most of my past clients tell me that meeting with me prior to the proposal helped to put them at ease. This is when we come up with a concrete and solid proof plan for the proposal. I want you to be 10000% confident in my ability to capture this moment for you and I want you to feel relaxed and at ease on the day of the proposal. Plus, it also makes it less awkward to have someone clicking away while you ask the big question if you already know the person. If you can’t get to the proposal location prior to the day, then we can schedule a Facetime or Zoom call.

  • Of course! As long as family members/friends are hidden and will not ruin the element of surprise, they are welcome to come. I am happy to photograph them as well after the proposal. Some proposal plans require family and friends to be present, so it is all based on your vision for the proposal.

  • My turnaround time is typically 1-2 weeks, depending on the season. I post sneak previews on social media within a few hours of the actual proposal.

  • I am pretty skilled at blending in with the crowd and will either bring an assistant or some other props to blend in. I have also been known to hide in bushes and other locations to avoid being seen. I am a natural light photographer, so the only equipment I bring is my camera and a backup camera. My camera will not be visible until you begin the proposal process.

  • Don't worry! I keep it very casual, laid back and fun. I am not into rigid and static poses. Instead, you can expect to just hang with your partner and bask in the excitement and thrill of the moment. My clients always tell me they feel completely at ease during a session with me, so I will make sure you are too!

  • My base package is for sessions within 45 minutes of my home. Additional fees apply for travel time, for locations that require a permit and if you request any props or add ons to your package.
