Twins are Twice the Fun | Beach Family and Maternity Photographer
The weather in June has been spectacular! I am loving every second of this month and I am so excited that my session one beach sunset family photos sessions has begun. The beach truly is the perfect backdrop for any photo session; it provides a gorgeous natural backdrop and the ocean and sand seems to help facilitate the playful and interactive images that I love to capture.
I recently had the opportunity to work with this beautiful family again. I photographed them two and a half years ago in their home for a lifestyle newborn session when they first gave birth to their twins. I just love when families return for future sessions and I have the opportunity to see their children grow.; it truly is such an honor.
We had the absolute perfect night for a sunset beach session. It was a mild 70 degree night, but the beach was calm, the weather was comfortable and the sunset was just spectacular. We started the session with some posed images. I always like to get that one posed family portrait out of the way at the start of the session so we can spend the rest of the time playing in the sand. I always want to capture you interacting with your children, whether it be hugging and kissing them or running around together. Your family photos should represent you as a family in this very moment.
The two and a half year old twins were very active during this session and Dad must have been exhausted at the end of this session because he was running all over the beach with his boys and it was so great to watch. Mom, who is pregnant with their third child, also was running around and playing with her boys during the session. I was able to sneak in some images of the boys cuddling up and cozying up next to their momma. I always sneak those images into a session because those are the moments that Moms want to have captured and remember. Because Mom is due in 10 weeks, I made sure to sneak in some maternity images too. I honestly had a blast with this family.
What I love the most about this session is that in almost every picture that I took of this family, they were laughing and having fun. Every time her boys were near her, mom had the most authentic laugh and smile. She radiated happiness.
Here are a few of my favorites from the session. But just a warning, be prepared to be blown away by how adorable the twins are.
