3. Limited Time, Maximum Impact

Mini sessions are short and sweet, but that doesn’t mean they lack impact. With just 15 minutes of focused time, you'll get high-quality photos without the stress of a long photoshoot. This makes it an excellent option if you're on a tight schedule, but still want to capture beautiful moments. It is perfect for those who are looking for a few updated portraits of the family to hang on walls, milestone occasions or simply to get to know me as a photographer. Plus, mini sessions are a great way to document special milestones, like family vacations, anniversaries, or even a “just because” moment you want to cherish forever.

4. Affordable and Accessible

Beach mini sessions are a more affordable alternative to full-length photo shoots. If you're looking to get professional photos without the higher price tag, a mini session is the perfect option. It’s also more accessible for those who want a quick and enjoyable session without committing to a larger package of photography. For busy families or couples, a mini session offers an opportunity to book a session that fits within your schedule and budget.

5. Create Beautiful Memories for Years to Come

The beauty of a beach photoshoot is that it not only captures the moment, but also encapsulates the emotions and energy of the day. The sound of the waves crashing, the salty breeze, and the joy of your family laughing in the sand all come together to create memories you’ll treasure forever. The beach allow for more light hearted and fun images. Whether you frame them for your home or turn them into a keepsake album, these photos will hold sentimental value for years to come.

6. Convenience and Flexibility

Booking a mini session at Ponte Vedra Beach in April is convenient for locals and visitors alike. If you're in the Jacksonville area, it's just a short drive away, making it easy to plan a morning or evening shoot. The flexibility of mini sessions means you can fit it into your busy schedule, whether it’s during a weekend getaway or as part of a family vacation. The evening time slots also help avoid large crowds and ensure that you have the beach mostly to yourself, giving your session a more personal touch.

7. What is the downside of a mini?

Because your session is 15 minutes in length, your images will not take place in a variety of locations at the beach. Don’t get me wrong, I can capture a lot of images in that time frame, but it is all contingent on cooperation. Also, the more relaxed and care free candid images tend to be captured towards the middle or end of a full session…this is when everyone tends to warm up and be more relaxed. In a mini session, you are limited to 15 minutes, so this typically means I will capture all of the “posed” images you have requested. For those clients who do not want any posed images, we can skip straight to the lifestyle images.

Because these sessions are appointment based, your session will take place in the area of the beach that has the best light for your time slot. Earlier time slots are shot by the dune and later ones are closer to the ocean. If you want a diverse gallery, then you will need a full length session. The session in this blog post was a 40 minute session.

I have photographed countless mini sessions over the years and it truly is a great option to get photos at a more affordable price point and to learn if a photographer’s vibe is right for you.
