I Have Some Exciting News to Share
I have been a family photographer based on Long Island for more than a decade. During that time period, I have captured countless families and documented many memories and milestones. I have many clients with whom I have worked with annually over this time span and had the privilege to watch their children grow. Many of my clients feel like friends and family to me. I am truly so grateful for my clients and will continue to serve them for years to come.
With that being said, I have some news to share. As of January of 2025, I will also be servicing the Jacksonville/St Augustine Florida area and working with clients in the North Eastern Florida area. To my loyal NY clients, don’t worry; I will also be working locally.
Why are You Working in Florida?
My husband, who worked for the FDNY for 26 years recently retired. We decided that this was the perfect time to move our family to Florida. We knew his retirement date was coming and researched locations for years. We fell in love with the Ponte Vedra area snd decided to make the move at the end of 2024. I am excited to meet new clients and to explore the North Eastern area of Florida to find new and exciting locations at which I can capture my clients’ memories. Of course, I plan on spending lots of time capturing portraits of families at the wide array of beaches in the area.
Will You work in New York again?
Absolutely. I have definite plans in place to return to Long Island in early June and will work there for the Summer of 2025. Once my children are settled, I plan to travel back and forth throughout the year for sessions. Once my children are acclimated, I will create my travel plan and I will be posting those dates on my social media accounts and announcing through my newsletter as well.
Where do you schedule photo sessions?
I can schedule your session anywhere you would like. Over the years, I have photographed families in a multitude of locations, but my specialty in the New York area was beach family sessions. The beach will forever be my favorite location for family photos. There is just something about the beach that lends itself to intimate, connected and emotive family photos. Of course, sunset is my preferred time of day for portait sessions on the beach, but I aso can schedule them at sunrise for your early birds.
Many of my clients return annually for their photos. I truly feel privileged to not only document a family’s growth over the years, but to be able to nurture a relationship with my clients and get to know clients so well. I pride myself in treating each client personally. I want my clients to feel at ease and relaxed during their session.
This particular session took place on the last night in August and it was such a gorgeous evening. I just love those nights when there is a warm breeze and the water is calm. Mom dressed herself and the girls in matching dresses and while I usally do not recommend going “matchy matchy”, this look totally works because the colors on the dresses are so pretty and the pattern is subtle. Dad’s neutral shirt balances it all out. I love when clients choose outfits that represent their personality. I will always help my clients to select wardrobe, but at the end of the day, I want clients to wear what they love and not what is trending on Instagram.
When working with little ones, it is essential to keep the session moving and to engage the child. I always follow the child’s lead. This means that not two sessions will be alike. It also means that I can’t guarantee any image or pose because each family is unique. What I can guarantee is that you will have fun and you will have meaningful images that make you feel something when you look at them.
Here are a few images from this fun session.
