A Family Maternity Session at Sunset | Beach Family Photography

Summer is now in full swing and I have been busy photographing children and families down at the beach. I feel so blessed to be able to work in such a gorgeous and serene location. Regardless of the amount of families I photograph and the amount of sunsets I watch, I am always humbled and amazed at the beauty of the ocean.

I truly believe the the beach is the perfect backdrop for any family session. The clean and muted colors of the sand and ocean provides the perfect backdrop for your photos and allows me to focus one the love and bond in each family. The golden glow of the sunset provides ultra flattering light, but also enhances and highlights the love and bond of each family.

This gorgeous mother to be first contacted me about a beach maternity session, which she was hoping to schedule on the same day as her baby shower. Because I do not shoot mid day at the beach, I couldn’t accommodate her request, but I was thrilled when she decided that she wanted to schedule her session a few days prior to her shower at sunset.

Mom was dressed exquisitely in a white lace gown and floral bohemian headband. She dressed her children and husband in the most gorgeous softly colored hues that looked spectacular at the beach. Big brother was beyond enthusiastic about having his picture taken and big sister was the sweetest young lady . Baby brother is vey lucky because once he arrives in a few short weeks, he is going to have two doting siblings. There was so much love between this family and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph them.
