Local Summer Beach Family Session | Long Beach Family Photographer

I went to high school with this recent client and both she and her twin brother are amongst the funniest and sweetest people I know. After photographing this beauty with her family, I realized that her four year old daughter inherited that same gift of humor. Dad also was a hoot to work with. Seriously,  I don’t think I have ever had more fun during a session.

Little Miss V was an absolute blast to work with. She was such a super cooperative child and sat for all of the posed shots that I took at the start of the session. Once it was time to move down to the shore, she was playful and silly, which is exactly what I want to happen at that point of the session. I always prefer the playful and candid captures from these family sessions.

Can we talk for a second about how gorgeous this little girl is? I had to make sure I captured plenty of images of her adorable freckles, thick lashes and gorgeous curls. These are the details you will want to remember about your child once she is older, so they must be properly documented.

I don’t think I have one image in which this little girl is not laughing, which is a true testament to her parents, who also were filled with humor and laughter. My favorite images are the ones in which she is running and playing with her parents on the sand.

September, also known as local Summer to those of us who live in Long Beach, is the best time of year for a family session on the beach. We had the most spectacular weather on the night of this particular session. The weather was beautifully mild and comfortable on the beach and the sunset was simply stunning. I have lots of captures of this family bathed in the golden glow of the sunset. I say it all the time, but I have never seen the same sunset twice.

Although the kids are back to school this week, I still have a full month left of photographing gorgeous families on the beach and I am so looking forward to each and every session. These sessions are great because you can hang the images on your walls year round, use the images for holiday cards and you can make heirloom photo books with the captures. It is the type of session that really captures and preserves your relationship with your child. When you look back at these photos, they will tug on your heartstrings.
